Harold Pinter, 74, of Peoria Heights, formerly of Ladd, died at 9:45 a.m. Nov. 1 in Methodist Hospital, Peoria.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Congregational Church in Peoria Heights. The Rev. Alan Dempsey will officiate. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Wilton Funeral Home, Peoria. Memorials maybe directed to the church or the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Pinter was born April 28, 1914 in Ladd to Gustave and Katherine Pinter. He married Julia Filippini Sept. 26, 1940 in Ladd. He worked at Chempron Corp. for 43 years, retiring in
1980. He was a member of Peoria Heights Congregational Church and a past president of VFW Post 2602. Mr. Pinter served in the armed forces during World War II and was a member of the Foresters Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Julia of Peoria; two daughters, Kathy Hein of Pembroke Pines, Fla. and Kim of Davenport, Iowa; one son, Kenneth of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren; one sister, Lula Merkel of Princeton and one brother, Gilbert of Ladd.
Mr. Pinter was preceded in death by three brothers.
