Lenora Violet Raeshke, age 94 of Carson, ND passed from this life on December 29, 2014 under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley at Villa Maria Nursing home in Fargo, ND. She was surrounded by her daughter and some of her Church family as they celebrated her life. Lenora was born in Carson, ND, on September 19, 1920, the first of 3 children born to August and Lydia (Horst) Huber. Lenora was married to Arthur Raeshke on June 25, 1944, they had one daughter Cyndy. Lenora and Art worked side by side in the Rexall Drug Store in Carson, ND until Art retired. She always attended the Pharmaceutical Conventions with Art and even continued to attend after his death. She was very active in many of the City of Carson’s organizations while she and Art were in the Drug Store. Lenora was a member of the Carson Community Homemakers Club and she worked with the Senior Citizen meals program in Carson for many years. Up until the last 8 years Lenora & Art had a garden every year from which Lenora spent many hours canning or they enjoyed giving away the produce to friends & family. Lenora was a member of the Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Carson. Over the years Lenora had been a Sunday School teacher, active in the Church Choir, Church Missionary Society and sent out church bulletins with hand written notes. Lenora attended school at Thane, Carson and NDSCS, Wahpeton, ND. In June 2011, Lenora moved from her home in Carson, ND to reside at Dakota Hills Housing in Elgin, ND. She resided there until her move to Villa Maria in Fargo on April 10, 2014. Lenora is survived by her daughter Cyndy; a brother, a sister-in-law Ethel,a niece Yvonne, three nephews. Lenora was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, parents August and Lydia (Horst) Huber, brother, Walter Huber and her favorite Uncle Edwin Horst. A service and burial will be held at a later date.
