Johnnie Zimbelman, 84, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City.
He was born Jan. 11, 1927, in Goodland, to John H. and Martha Miller Zimbelman.
Mr. Zimbelman had lived in Leoti since 1970 and moved to Scott City in February 2007. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
On July 26, 1953, he married Phyllis Eckert in Goodland. She died June 19, 2009, in Scott City. He also was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include a son, Michael Zimbelman of Scott City; a daughter, Susan Zimbelman of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Gladys Lampe of Sonnyville, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service was at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti. A private burial was held.
