She received her education at the Gakcle Public School and graduated from Gackle High School in 1962. She later attended and graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor degree. She worked for the state of Oregon as a social worker helping families and children. In 1997 she moved back into her parent's home. After semi-retiring she worked part time at the Gackle and Jud Post Offices. She attended Grace Baptist Church in Gackle. Reading, gardening and cooking were her passions. She devoted her time and herself to her daughter Rhea and granddaughter Romina. She is survived by 2 daughter, Loni (Gary) Fox, Danville, CA; Rhea Coleman, Gackle, ND; 2 grandchildren, Shane and Romina; 1 step-granddaughter, Ashlee; 2 brothers, Merril (Bev) Rivinius, Bismarck, ND; Ivan (Rita) Rivinius, Gackle, ND; 2 nieces, Diane and Sieara and 1 nephew, Slay. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Darrel, in 1942, and Kevin, in 1945. He was born on May 30, 1912 at Sparks, OK to William and Mable (Wilcox) Allen. As a youth he lived in Coeur d'Alene, ID, Heartline and Monitor. He graduated from Cashmere High School in 1931 and then went to work on the Icicle Irrigation Ditch during the early 30s. In 1935 and 1936, he worked construction on the Grand Coulee Dam Powerhouse. He began driving truck for Consolidated Freightway in 1939 and for Associated Grocers in 1948 until his retirement in 1975. During his career as a truck driver, he received several awards for his safe driving record. He married Anne Schorzman at Quincy, in April of 1941. They were married for 31 years and raised three daughters. Anne died in 1972. In 1978, he married Mary Fran Beucler. Lee was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed golfing, reading, fishing and vacationing in Hawaii and Arizona. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wenatchee. Lee is survived by his wife, Mary Fran Allen of Wenatchee; daughters, Barbara Lentz of Pullman, Toni Lawrence of Bothell, and Becky Chaussee of Reno, NV; stepdaughters, Mary Ann Warren of Wenatchee and Carolyn Martin of Sacramento, CA; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anne Schorzman-Allen in 1972, one brother, two sisters and his parents. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, May 13, 1999 at the Cashmere City Cemetery in Cashmere at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Bob Shepard officiating. Viewing will be Wednesday, May 12, 1999 at Braun Funeral Home in Cashmere from 4-8 p.m. For those friends that wish, memorials may be made in Lee's name to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Research Fund. She was born on August 29, 1928 in Culbertson, PA to Martin L. Oberholser & Fannie W. Musser Oberholser (Sollenberger). Anna Mae was a life-long member of Mt. Rock Brethren in Christ Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School. Together, Anna Mae and her mother, Fannie, welcomed newcomers and friends as the church's Sunshine (hospitality) comm. Anna Mae graduated from Messiah Academy in 1952, and for several years, had a stand at the Hagerstown City Market where she sold her own baked goods and vegetables. She was employed by the Heinz Company, Newberry's on the square, and then retired after 35 years of service at Scotland School for Veterans' Children. She liked to crochet stuffed animals and dolls for children. Survived by niece and nephews: Dennis (husband of Becky) Wenger of Chambersburg, PA; Beverly (wife of Nelson) Sollenberger of Farmingdale, NJ; Dale (husband of Lynn) Wenger of Huntingdon Valley, PA; and a brother-in-law, Charles Wenger of Shippensburg, PA. Anna Mae's family also included six great-nephews, one great-niece, two great-great nephews and one great-great niece. She was predeceased by sister, Ruth O. Wenger. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA.
