He was born March 26, 1872, in Frederick County, a son of the late William and Mary Catherine Keifer. He was twice married, his former wife being the late Ella L. Barnes Devilbiss. Surviving besides his wife are the following children: Maurice M., Medford; Frank W., Detroit; Samuel S., Spencerville, Ohio; Mrs. Helen Keating, Silver Spring; Mrs. Dorothy Garber, New Windsor, and Newell B., Keymar; 26 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one sister, Mrs. Maggie Sharrets, Westover, Md. He was a member of the Linganore Methodist Church. His body was removed to the Linganore Church Sunday at 1 P M M. where services were held at 2:30 P. M. His pastor, the Rev. He was born to George and Molly (Trupp) Zimbelman in Prospect Valley, Colorado on his family farm. Jim grew up on the Prospect Valley Ranch raising Aryshire dairy cattle and farming. Active in 4H Club, several of his cows were awarded Grand Championships or Reserve Grand Championships. He served in the US Army’s Security Agency from February 1957 until December of 1959. On December 20, 1968 he married Donna Seekins in Brighton, Colorado. Jim and Donna owned and operated Z&Z Service Company in FT. Lupton for 32 years. He was a member of Rocky Mountain Bible Baptist Church in Longmont; was a past member of Calvary Baptist Church, serving as a member of the Deacon Board as well as a past member of Elmwood Baptist Church where he served as the Treasurer. He was a past Ft Lupton City Council member, Ft Lupton Fire Board member and a member of the Dahlia Flower Club. Jim was also a railroad buff and loved his model railroad trains, tracks and fishing. He was a member of LuLu City Line, an Estes Park railroad club, while he and Donna lived in Estes Park for 11 years. Jim was an avid Bronco fan, being an original season ticket holder. Jim is survived by his wife of Longmont, CO; 2 brothers, 4 brothers-in-law, 2 sisters in laws, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley Schreiner and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Chapel, 503 Terry Street, Longmont. A Funeral Service will be held, 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Rocky Mountain Bible Baptist Church, 1450 Martin Street in Longmont. Pastors Ken Martinez and Paul Roper officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm, Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton. Military honors provided by American Legion Post 32 in Longmont. Barbara was born April 6, 1945 in Edgar, NE to Gayle Francis Gunn and Arlyne Lucille (Erickson) Gunn. She was married July 29, 1967 to Roger N. Eitzmann in Byron, NE. She was baptized at the Lutheran Church in Carleton, NE, Confirmed in the Union Church in Hardy, NE and attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Shenandoah, IA. Barbara grew up on a farm near Hardy, NE; she attended Wymire Country School near Hardy, NE through 7th grade, graduated from Hardy High School in 1963 as Valedictorian. Following high school a Bachelor's of Science Degree was earned from Kearney State College in Business Education and received a Master's degree in education from the University of Nebraska in 1971. Barbara taught school in Wymore, NE for 3 years and Sidney Public Schools, Sidney, IA for the remainder of her teaching career, retiring in 2003. She was a member of Legion uxiliary. Barbara loved to read books including Danielle Steele. Traveling and golfing occupied much of her time in retirement along with spending time with her grandchildren, attending programs, sporting events and other activities. She also volunteered her time at the Iowa Welcome Center. Barbara was an avid Sidney Cowboys, Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, and Nebraska Cornhusker fan. She will be remembered as a loving loyal friend, wife, nurturing mother and grandmother. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Eldon Eitzmann, Stan Lang and Bob Avey; and sister-in-law, Wilma Eitzmann. She is survived by her husband, Roger Eitzmann of Sidney, IA; daughter, Kris Ostdiek and husband Rob of Beatrice, NE; son, Tony Eitzmann and wife Joni of Gretna, NE; 5 grandchildren, Kelsey Eitzmann, Brock Ostdiek, Macy Eitzmann, Byron Ostdiek and Libby Eitzmann; brother, Gary Gunn and wife Arleeta of Chester, NE; brothers and sisters-in-law, Loyal Eitzmann and wife Elva of Auburn, NE, Iverna Lang of Edgar, NE, Genell Copas and husband Burley of Beatrice, NE, Twila Avey of Lincoln, NE, and Norma Eitzmann of Superior, NE; numerous nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Ruben was born June 19, 1933 near Sutton, Nebraska in Fillmore County to Theodore & Sophia (Griess) Hofmann. He was baptized and confirmed in the Free German Reformed Salem Church where he was a lifelong member. He attended school at District #8. Ruben served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. On October 6, 1955 he was united in marriage to Marie Griess, in Geneva, NE. They made their home on a farm near Sutton, where they raised their family. This union was blessed with three sons and a daughter: LeRoy, Frederick, Lawrence and Darlene. Ruben was a board member of: Sutton Coop Grain, Sutton Consumer Propane, Sutton Community Home and Federal Land Bank. In addition to farming, he was a DeKalb seed corn dealer. Ruben and Marie retired from farming and moved into the Sutton community in 1984. In his retirement, he enjoyed attending his grandkids’ activities, fishing, watching sporting events and getting his daily dose of ice cream. He was preceded in death by his wife, son, son-in-law, parents, brothers and sisters. He is survived by two sons: LeRoy Hofmann & wife Carol, and Fred Hofmann & wife Lori; daughter Darlene Overturf; eight grandchildren: Ryan Hofmann & wife Jillian, Troy Hofmann & wife Kelsey, Melissa Friesen & husband Vincent, Heidi Rose & husband Derek, Susan & Timothy Hofmann, Kyle Overturf & wife Leah, Heather Overturf; four great grandchildren: Ashlyn & Mason Friesen and Kenley & Adelyn Overturf; nieces and nephews and other relatives. | Hofmann, Ruben (I142573)
