    John W. Eby, 68, of Dallas Center died of Lymphoma on Feb. 14 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
    The son of Christian Henry Eby and Fannie Wenger, he was borna t Chambersburg, Penn. on Nov. 11, 1924 and had lived at Dallas Center most of his life. He retired as a farmer in 1987 and was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
    Survivors include his wife, Maxine Eby; four sons, William H. Eby of Adel and Paul D. Eby of Urbandale and Karl J. Eby and Charles H. Eby, both of Dallas Center; two brothers, Jacob Eby of Dallas Center and Harold Eby of Harrisonburg, Penn.; five sisters, Ruth Meyers, Anna Keller, Dorothy Hawbaker and Ada Meyers, all of Dallas Center, and Mary Meyers of Adel; and five grandchildren.

    Christian Henry Eby, 92, of Dallas Center, died of complications from a broken hip on Jun 22, 1988 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital at Des Moines.
    The son of John and Fannie Ebersole Eby, he was born Nov. 30, 1895 in Pennsylvania. He married Fannie Elizabeth Wenger in Pennsylvania on Jan. 6, 1921.
    Preceding Mr. Eby in death were his wife, Fannie, in April 1981 and a son, Henry Eby Jr. in 1931.
    He is survived by three sons, Harold of Harrisonburg, Va. and Jacob and John, both of dallas center; five daughters, Mary Meyers of Adel and Ruth Meyers, Anna Keller, Dorothy hawbaker and Ada Myers, all of Dallas Center; 40 grandchildren and 90 great-grandchildren.

    Fannie Elizabeth (Wenger) Eby was born October 28, 1898 at Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, and died April 6, 1981 at her home in Dallas Center, Iowa at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 9 days. She was united in marriage to Christian Henry Eby, January 6, 1921. She moved with her husband and seven children to Iowa in 1931 where she reisded until her death. Following the death of their son, Henry Eby, Jr., in 1932, two more children were born. She was baptized into membership of the Old Order River Brethren Church in 1932 and remained faithful to her Lord until death. She is survived by her husband, Henry, three sons, Harold of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Jacob and John of Dallas Center; five daughters, Mary Meyers of Adel, Ruth Meyers, Anna Keller, Dorothy Hawbaker and Ada Meyers, all of Dallas Center; 4 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Fannie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother with loving concern for each member of her family.
