1909, Jan 17, The Atlanta Constitution Newspaper published the following Obit for Fannie Payton: Mrs. Fannie Payton, aged 34 years, died yesterday at noon at her residence, 246 Bryan Street. She is survived by her husband, M. W. Payton, and two children. The funeral services will be held at Harry G. Poole's Chapel this morning at 7:15 o'clock. The body will be taken to Montreal, GA., former home of the deceased, for interment.Frances heiratete Payton, Martin Willard in 1896. Braden drowned in the Tennessee River in 1827, according to a widow's benefit application filed by Rhoda Lankford Braden filed with the War Department with the assistance of Rhoda's brother, a Mr. Lankford.
