Joseph Holder was the son of George Ludwig Holder (1773-1816) and Elizabeth Morris Holder (???-1814). Joseph married Susanna Leinbach (1807-1878) on 12 Nov 1829 at Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina. They moved to the Moravian community of Hope, Bartholomew County, Indiana. They had children, including a son, William Nathaniel Holder (b. 1834 in IN; d. 1908) who married Lucy Anna Sowers (1842-1927) on 08 Mar 1859 in Bartholomew County, Indiana. I am trying to find out where Joseph's wife Susannah is buried.

Matthias (or Mattheus?) Sowers was the son of Johann (John) Michael Sowers (17722-1830) and Mary Barbara Sink Sowers (1776-1818), who married 06 Oct 1792 in North Carolina.
Matthias first married to Rebecca Spach (c1810 to before 1850) with whom he had nine children, five girls and four boys. At least seven and perhaps eight of the nine children lived to maturity. The nine children were:
1. Alfred Sowers (1829-1894)
2. Lavinia Mary Sowers Reed (1830-1901)
3. Elisabeth Lucinda Sowers Barmes (1832-1919)
4. Emanuel Sowers (1834-1924)
5. Charles S. (or Landford?) Sowers (1836-1911)
6. Sarah Frances Sowers (1839-1854)
7. Lucy Ann Sowers Holder (1842-1927)
8. Nancy Emmeline Sowers Holder (1844-1914)
9. John Franklin Sowers (1846-p1860)
After Rebecca died Matthias remarried to the widow Charlotte Maria Shore Reed/Reid (1820-1896) with whom he had a daughter:

Nothing is known of Matthias' youngest two children, John Franklin or Susan.
